Zarreen Xanthé Khan is a Candidate Attorney at Cullinan & Associates Inc. She completed her Master of Laws (LLM) in Marine and Environmental Law with distinction at the University of Cape Town, where she was awarded the Faculty Postgraduate Prize in Environmental Law for 2024. Zarreen obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA), majoring in English Literature and Law, in 2021, and her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2023, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Paralegal at Protect the West Coast, a non-profit organisation dedicated to informing and empowering civil society in opposition to unlawful and unjust mining activities along the West Coast. In this role, she gained valuable experience in regulatory compliance, mineral law, and environmental litigation. Zarreen currently serves as a Sub-Committee Member for the Western Cape Region of the Environmental Law Association of South Africa. Her academic and professional experience reflects a strong commitment to environmental justice and public interest law.
