Cultural heritage is an important aspect of our environment and Cullinans has advised on heritage issues (particularly in the context of land development) for more than two decades and authored the LexisNexis Practical Guidance Chapter on Heritage legislation in South Africa. We have: reviewed heritage impact assessments, represented clients in heritage grading and heritage protection order processes, and provincial and national heritage appeal proceedings, and litigated to protect important heritage (including the intangible cultural heritage of Indigenous Peoples).
