We have successfully represented a wide range of clients in stopping inappropriate mining operations in forests, on farms, in residential areas and in the ocean, and have advised on the development and implementation of a national strategy to stem the loss of high quality agriculture land to mining. We represent clients in making representations during decision-making processes in relation to mining and oil and gas exploration, appealing decisions, and litigating to set aside authorisations that have been unlawfully granted.  Notable success include winning the precedent-setting Constitutional Court judgement in the Maccsand case and in litigation to prevent oil and gas developments that will accelerate climate change (see climate change and carbon credits).
